Dear Prospective Vendors
Join in the fun at our 2nd Saturday Plainview . Out on the Downtown. This event is open to the public from 10 am to 3 pm. The location is downtown Plainview between Broadway and Ash Streets, 5th and 8th Streets and around the Courthouse Square. There is always a variety of activities that include live music, children’s activities, boutique shopping, demonstrations, community partnership events, antiques, and food. The Plainview Downtown Association is working to build this event and make it “the place to be” each 2nd Saturday. We desire the best interest in the success of the event as well as your business. Included with this invitation are the vendor application and general information for vendors.
(Note: On Saturday, September 14, 2019, the community will host an Emergency Preparedness Fair in downtown Plainview. Vendors associated with this event will click on PAY BY CHECK to register. There is no fee for this event.)
VENDOR FEE: $30.00 This is a weather friendly event. Both outdoor and indoor vendors are encouraged and are determined monthly according to local weather reports. There are no refunds due to inclement weather.
EARLYBIRD VENDOR FEE: $20.00 Application/payment that is confirmed seven days before a 2nd Saturday event the vendor fee will be discounted; reserve early.
RESERVATIONS: Locations are reserved by application and confirmed through payment. Each vendor will need to complete one of the following Vendor Applications each month.
BOOTH SET UP: Set up at 9 am and be ready at 10 am and remain open until 3 pm.
BOOTH LOCATION: Indoor: TBD by vendor committee. Outdoor – Northwest side of the courthouse; space is first-come, first-serve.
BOOTH SIZE: Indoor – TBD by hosting business. Outdoor: 10×10. Maintain a neat and clean area; find clean, leave clean!
DISPLAY: Bring your table and chairs with any display equipment and power if needed. Keep your products within the boundaries of your space. Keep displays in place until breakdown at 3 pm. If using a tent, it must be secured with weights, weighted blocks or buckets. NO IN GROUND STAKING.
SALES TAX: A state of Texas Tax ID # is required and must be displayed in your booth. If the Comptroller’s office decides to pay a visit and you do not have one, they will make you apply for one on the spot or have you pack up. You are responsible for turning in all sales tax. Hale County tax rate is 8.25%
MERCHANDISE GUIDELINES: New, vintage, art, jewelry, handmade items; and decor will be considered. Garage sale items are only allowed during outdoor month option; March through October.
Third party vendors are allowed but are limited to one vendor per product line per 2nd Saturday. First come, first confirmed, gets the spot!
Items such as weapons, fireworks, laser pointers, stink bombs, silly string, or items with profanity or of a pornographic nature are NOT allowed.
The Plainview Downtown Association and it’s volunteers reserve the right to reject any application for vendor space or any item listed on the vendor application, which is deemed unsafe or considered inappropriate for family viewing.
MARKETING: Every effort is made to publicize this event through multiple marketing outlets such as; social media, radio segments, newspapers, and the PDA website, 2ndsaturdayplainview.com.
To further the success of your booth, we ask that you post on YOUR website and social media outlets the 2nd Saturday Plainview ‘Out on the Downtown’ event.
